Clemson University Greenwood Genetics Center

Project Type Science & Technology

Location Greenwood, SC

The Clemson Center for Human Genetics, located in Self Regional Hall, is a 15,300 square-foot facility located on the campus of the Greenwood Genetic Center, delivered by the design-build team led by Moss & Associates with Integrated Design as the architect.

The facility is designed to promote a collaborative interactive environment with open office space, team and seminar rooms, and eight individual laboratories for molecular biology, cell biology, and functional genomics experimentation.  A central bioinformatics facility integrates statistical genetics and computational genomics approaches with projects that employ molecular genetics.

Adjacent to the Greenwood Genetics Center and centrally located between three university campuses, the Clemson University Center for Human Genetics fosters interactions in research and development companies engaged in human diagnostics, cognitive development, central nervous system, autism, birth defects, cancer, and inflammatory diseases.
