Parmer Campus Renovation

Project Type Science & Technology, Master Planning

Location Research Triangle Park

Completed 2021

The Parmer Campus Improvements directive was to take a dated and vacant pharmaceutical research and production facility and breathe new life into it on a budget. The design team studied the single occupant pharmaceutical production facility and devised a plan to convert it into a multitenant building complex. An emphasis was placed on developing a campus feel with a pedestrian scale and new entry canopies to serve the buildings, as well as a new parking deck. Three of the vacant buildings were leased based on these designs. Another developer has since purchased the campus as a viable investment, and it is nearly fully occupied.

Particular emphasis was placed on improving vehicular and pedestrian circulation around the renovated campus, in addition to significant improvements to landscaping and wayfinding.
